Status: Full Time, EmployedSchedule: Traditional work week, M-F (including 1 administrative day) with a minimum of 32 hours of ambulatory clinic patient contact time. No hospital consults or weekend rounding.ED Call: After hours call shared equally with other neurologists. Call coverage is for established outpatients only; there is no hospital call, ICU call, stroke call, or EEG call. As the regional provider of advanced neurological services, Saint Alphonsus neurologists provide care for patients with complex conditions, neurodegenerative disorders, seizures, and general neurological disease. The Saint Alphonsus Neuroscience Institute promotes collaboration with a team of general neurosurgeons, vascular neurosurgeons, neuroradiologists, vascular neurologists, physiatrists, neuro-ophthalmologist and radiation oncologists. Diagnostic and patient care services available to neurologists include EMG capability in the clinic, EEG with web-based interpretation, OCT, and Botox injections.Support: Well-established neurology outpatient clinic, neuro-ophthalmology, diagnostic neuroradiology; an inpatient neuroscience program anchored with fellowship trained critical care neurologists and neurohospitalists located in Boise, stroke coordinators, employed interventional neuroradiologists and endovascular neurosurgeons providing emergency time sensitive and elective interventions to include: biplane angiography, MRI/ MRA, CT/CTA, CT perfusion, 4-vessel angiography, and interventional stroke and aneurysm procedures.Requirements:Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) degree.Successful completion of an ACGME or AOA accredited residency-training program in Neurology.Board certification in Neurology by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology or board certification in Neurology by the American Osteopathic Board of Neurology & Psychiatry or its equivalent or obtain such certification within 3 years of employment.Obtain Idaho medical licensure and granting of privileges at SARMC-Boise, SAMC-Nampa and other health system affiliated hospitals as needed; obtain a valid controlled substance registration with Board of Pharmacy and DEA.Community: Nampa, Meridian and Boise anchor this vibrant and growing mid-sized metropolitan valley area of 800,000 people.
